Fur Cases of Chronic Mercury Poisoning

Abstract
|

|
The author has experienced four cases of chronic metallic mercury poisoning that occurred at a thermometers manufacturing factory. They had been exposed to the metallic mercury for 9 months to 4 years 6 months.
The diagnosis was established by clinical and laboratory findings. After administration of D-penicillamine as a chelating agent, mercury concentration in blood and 24 hours urine of four cases were normalized and their symptoms were much improved.
